Thickness: 2 1/4”

Other Sizes: From 5’ 8” to 6’ 6”

Tail: Squash or round

Comments: The E-1 model was specifically designed for Europe. After testing and riding waves in Europe we came out with the E-1. This board is a great all around board. This design is fast and loose with good control, great for beginners and experienced surfers alike.

Comments: The E-5 is another phenomenal short board; this model has everything a surfer wants: speed, quickness, control and flow. The E-5 has more rocker than our other models. This board comes alive in the pocket. With more curve and a slight single concave running through the board, this combination is perfect for high performance surfing. The E-5 is popular with team and pro riders, because of its remarkable speed and handling.

Width: 18”

Thickness: 2”

Gunther Rohn: Round tail

Other Sizes: From 5’ 8” to 6’ 8”

Tail: Round.

Bottom: Single to double concave.

Comments: Designed for a surfer of above average level. To be ridden in good, medium size waves. The round tail gives the board more control in the ‘pocket’ or barrel. It is also a lot easier to ‘snap’ off the top.

Gunther Rohn: Round square
Round Square

Width: 18 3/8”

Thickness: 2 5/16”

Other Sizes: From 5’ 8” to 6’ 8”

Tail: Round square.

Bottom: Single to double concave.

Comments: For a surfer of average to high surfing level. Suited for waves under 2 metres. Single to double concave bottom to generate maximum speed, drive and maneuverability. The board is also designed to maintain speed through flat sections by way of the wider tail ‘pod’.

Width: 18 1/4”

Thickness: 2 1/4”

Other Sizes: From 5’ 8” to 6’ 3”

Air

Width: 19”

Thickness: 2 3/8”

Other Sizes: From 5’ 8” to 6’ 3”

Peter Daniels: Japanese Fish
Japanese Fish

Length: 5’ 9”
Width: 18”

Thickness: 2”

Other Sizes: From 4’ 10” to 6’ 6”

Tail: Swallow

Bottom: Single to triple concave to vee

LSD: Barracuda
Barracuda

Width: 19”

Thickness: 2 5/16”

Other Sizes: From 4’ 6” to 6’ 4”

Tail: Swallow

Bottom: Single concave into double, vee exiting off the swallow tail

Comments: This model has a more retro outline with plenty of area for super easy speed, even in the weakest of conditions and also makes it an easy board to paddle. The Barracuda is now available in a quad fin set up (Barracuda 4) providing even more down the line speed. To be ordered approximately 4” shorter and 1” wider than your standard performance board.

Rawson: Rocket Fish
Rocket Fish

Length: 6’ 2”
Width: 19 3/8”

Thickness: 2 3/8”

Other Sizes: From 5’ 9” to 6’ 3”

Tail: Swallow

Bottom: Concave to double concave

Comments: This board will carve on rail and “grovels” well in junk surf. The wide point is at the center with some width forward for easier, earlier takeoffs, and enough planing area forward to ride the smallest, most gutless waves.

Tokoro: E-Fish
E-Fish

Length: 5’ 9”
Width: 18 7/8”

Thickness: 2 3/16”

Other Sizes: From 5’ 3” to 6’ 4”

Tail: Swallow

Bottom: Rolled vee to concave to double concave vee

Comments: This design is similar to what we have done in other areas although we have made a few changes. The tail has more area and less rocker for European waves. This board is an incredible small wave weapon.

Gunther Rhon: The Squid
The Squid

Length: 6’ 4”
Width: 19 1/2”

Thickness: 2 9/16”

Other Sizes: From 4’ 6” to 6’4”

Tail: Swallow

Bottom: Single double concave to concave vee

Comments: This board is designed for a larger surfer with above average ability to be ridden in small waves. Designed to generate maximum speed and drive with a lot of maneuverability. The swallow tail and vee make it easier to put a wider tail on the rail and carve. Without the vee a wide tail could be too stable.

Stark: Rocket
Rocket

Length: 5’ 9”
Width: 19”

Thickness: 2 1/4”

Other Sizes: From 5’ 7” to 6’0”

Tail: Swallow

Bottom: Single double concave to concave vee

Comments: This model was develloped with Martin Potter. The rocker is really flat combined with its specific outline. The result is a very easy take off “bomb” that flies on any small wave.

Tokoro: E-Gun
E-Gun

Length: 6’ 8”
Width: 18 1/2”

Thickness: 2 3/8”

Other Sizes: From 6’ 4” to 6’ 8”

Tail: Round pin

Comments: This model is a high performance board made for bigger waves. The characteristics of this board are stability, control and manoeuvrability. Surfers will enjoy this board when it really counts.

Rawson: Hyper Classic
Hyperclassic

Length: 6’ 10”
Width: 18 1/4”

Thickness: 2 5/16”

Other Sizes: From 6’ 6” to 7’ 4”

Tail: Round pin

Comments: Whether you’re planning on riding Back Door, Teahupoo, Mentawai’s, or Mudaka: this model is designed to be the most reliable board in your quiver. A flowing bottom rocker, with an aesthetic thickness foil from nose to tail, give this design nice flex characteristics for a “turning in the tube” style of riding. I probably shape more boards out of this model for visiting pros coming to the North Shore, than any other design I build.

Rawson: Matador Pro Classic
Matador Pro Classic

Length: 8’ 0”
Width: 20”

Thickness: 2 3/4”

Other Sizes: From 6’ 6” to 9’ 6”

Tail: Pin

Comments: The special rocker and bottom contour incorporated allows this model to “turn on a dime”, for the relative size and overall volume. My Matador Classic Series caters to the needs of the heavier or more mature Surfer. Increased outline width from 19” to 22” wide, combined with increased thickness up to 3” or more in the chest area, give these models the added edge in paddling, stability, and “easy takeoff” situations.

Rawson: Classic Gun
The Squid

Length: 9’ 6”
Width: 19 1/4”

Thickness: 2 7/8”

Other Sizes: From 7’ 6” to 9’ 6”

Tail: Pin

Comments: The paddling and early takeoff features are well asserted in this board design. For places like Sunset Beach, the “paddle power” is necessary, but the board still has to turn well, handle the bumps, and maneuver through the “dead spots” Sunset is known for. I use a slight panel Vee over the last 25% of the tail of the board, to help loosen up the board, and achieve the effect of manoeuvrability in large waves.

Rawson: 5-Fin Bonzer
5-Fin Bonzer

Length: 6’ 0”
Width: 19 1/2”

Thickness: 2 3/8”

Other Sizes: From 5’ 6” to 6’ 8”

Tail: Diamond, Swallow, Squash or Round

Comments: This true to the original mid-80’s design is built and inspired by the motto of “speed, glide, easy to ride”. The 5 fin Bonzer has been gaining popularity the last 2 seasons by riders that enjoy a smooth, fast ride combined with manuverability in all wave conditions. The “Wave Bandit” 5 fin Bonzer is my hybrid alternative with this 5 fin Bonzer model.

Rawson: San Diego Fish
The Squid

Length: 5’ 8”
Width: 19 3/4”

Thickness: 2 3/16”

Other Sizes: From 5’ 0” to 6’ 4”

Tail: Swallow

Comments: This 1971 time tested design is enjoying it’s 5th year of reintroduction in my Rawson Retro models. Used with FCS Keel fins, or with wood Keel glass on fins, this model is fast and easy to catch waves with and remains popular worldwide for small wave surfing. I suggest going 6” shorter in length than your standard high performance small wave board.

Rawson: SR 71 Round Tail Quad
SR 71 Round Tail Quad

Length: 5’ 11”
Width: 20 1/4”

Thickness: 2 1/2”

Other Sizes: From 5’ 6” to 6’ 6”

Tail: Double wing rounded

Comments: This double wing round tail is great for roundhouse cutbacks and backside surfing that can be difficult for many surfers to execute with some of the standard fish and quad designs available today. This model is suited well for the 3+2 option (the convertible option enabling the rider to choose from a Thruster od 5 fin, to a Quad, using the optional back trailer fin boxes).

Rawson: SR 71 Swallow Tail Quad
The Squid

Length: 5’ 11”
Width: 20”

Thickness: 2 3/8”

Other Sizes: From 5’ 4” to 6’ 6”

Tail: Double wing swallow

Comments: This fish style design has fuller nose and tail widths, along with a much lower rocker throughout the bottom. The double wing swallow design, allows looser “off the top” slashes, and greatly aids in back hand surfing, which can be a bit daunting for the less experienced Fish riders. This board has been a top seller as a versatile design and fun to ride in smaller waves in all conditions.

Rawson: 77 Round Pin Single Fin
77 Round Pin Single Fin

Length: 6’ 2”
Width: 19”

Thickness: 2 3/8”

Other Sizes: From 5’ 8” to 6’ 8”

Tail: Pin

Comments: I originally designed this model in 1977 with Mark Liddell and “Buttons” Kaluhiokalni as a small wave, fin forward, rounded pin single fin which remained popular until Fall of 1981 when the thruster design was introduced by Simon Anderson. Presently modernized slightly, this model is true to the original design and we feature great resin tint glassing with gloss and polish finish to showcase this time tested classic design.

Stark: Mini-mal
Mini-mal

Length: 8’ 0”
Width: 22 1/2”

Thickness: 2 5/8”

Other Sizes: From 7’ 0” to 8’ 0”

Stark: Big Fish
Big Fish

Length: 7’ 0”
Width: 21 1/4”

Thickness: 2 3/4”

Other Sizes: From 6’ 8” to 7’ 6”

Tail: Swallow or round

Comments: Developed for older guys who just don´t want to ride longboards. Take off is really easy and it rides unreal in all conditions up to 8 feet.
